Metrics

Metrics overview

What each number in AI Search Insights means and how it is calculated.

Every number comes from runs: a set of questions asked of selected engines at a recorded time. Questions that already contain your brand name are excluded from the totals, so the metrics reflect discovery, not people searching for you by name.

Mention rate

Answers that mention the brand ÷ all valid answers. Shown per engine as well.

Visibility

Answers that mention the brand ÷ answers where any tracked brand was mentioned. When that denominator isn't known, it shows as —. In Visibility mode, rows don't add up to 100%.

Share of voice

The brand's mentions ÷ all brand mentions across the question set. In Share mode, rows add up to 100%.

Citations

A mention counts as cited when the answer's source URL belongs to your domain, or a source title matches your brand name. Citation rate = cited mentions ÷ mentions. See Sources for the URLs themselves.

Rank and sentiment

Average rank is the order in which the brand appears in an answer. Sentiment is shown for reference only and is not part of any score.

Unmeasured is not 0%
