AEO · GEO diagnosis
What the site diagnosis checks, and how fixes are prioritized.
AEO and GEO are approaches to improving content so that search and answer systems can understand it and use it as the basis for their answers. The diagnosis looks at your site from that angle and returns a prioritized list of fixes.
How a diagnosis runs
- Discover the site and its key pages.
- Check hard gates.
- Score each key page for AEO.
- Measure GEO: whether the brand appears for questions that don't name it.
- Build a fix backlog and group it by priority.
Hard gates
| Check | Result |
|---|---|
| robots.txt blocks search or answer bots | Block |
| Thin server-rendered body | Warning |
| Load time over 2 seconds | Warning |
| robots.txt can't be read | Unknown |
What page scoring looks at
Access, overlap with the questions asked, vocabulary, the lead and best passages, citable units, intent and completeness, structure, freshness, semantic HTML, structured data, internal links, and external sources. Items that couldn't be measured are left out of the score instead of counting as zero.
Recommendations
| Priority | Examples |
|---|---|
| High, fix now | No structured data, no H1, no summary up top, missing or irregular dates |
| High, content | No comparison or list articles, weak hub-and-spoke structure or internal links |
| Medium | No author byline, too few external sources |
Generated files
From a diagnosis you can generate an llms.txt (llmstxt.org format, listing your key pages) and a schema.jsonld with Organization, WebSite, and a FAQPage built from question-style headings.
